JVC announced the LX-NZ30 projector at CES 2023, where the gadget won an Editor’s Pick award in the Sound & Vision category. The 4K HDR projector uses a BLU-Escent laser light source with a 3,300 lumens peak brightness and a life expectancy of 20,000 hours. Compared to older models from the brand, the gadget features a 105 W blue laser diode rather than a 95 W part, delivering 10% greater brightness. Plus, the device supports HDR10 and HLG content and has automatic setting adjustments.
You can use the LX-NZ30 to project a 100-in (~254 cm) wide image from 15.7 ft (~4.8 m) away. The projector has been designed to be used as a home cinema or for gaming, with lower latency of 6.25 ms and support for refresh rates up to 240 Hz at 1080p. Ports at the rear of the gadget include HDMI (HDCP 2.3), USB and DisplayPort v1.2. The LX-NZ30 has 60% vertical and 23% horizontal lens shift capabilities, 1.6 X zoom and keystone correction tools.
The JVC LX-NZ30 projector is expected to launch in the US in late March 2023 for US$3,499.95. The product will be available in black or white to suit your set-up, with control buttons on the top of the device. It is unclear whether or when the gadget could be available in other markets such as the UK, Australia and Europe.
