Musicians lined up at the Royal Albert Hall include disco legends Nile Rodgers & Chic, plus George Ezra, Ellie Goulding, Becky Hill and Eurovision star Sam Ryder.
Frank Skinner, David Baddiel and the Lightning Seeds will reunite to perform their hit Three Lions – which has been rewritten to honour the Lionesses’ win at Euro 2022.
Hollywood actress Rita Wilson will sing a duet with Gregory Porter, and there will be extracts from musicals Cabaret and Disney’s Newsies.
German magicians the Ehrlich Brothers, Egyptian opera soprano Fatma Said, Giffords Circus and Cirque Du Soleil are also performing.
Comedy comes from Al Murray as the Pub Landlord, Maisie Adam, Omid Djalili and 2022’s Britain’s Got Talent winner Axel Blake. Hosting will be comic Lee Mack, who appeared at the Queen’s Diamond and Platinum Jubilee gigs.
He quipped: “I was actually going to buy tickets for this year’s Royal Variety Performance, so not only is it a real honour to be asked to host it, it’s also saved me a few quid.”
Senior Royals will attend the event, in aid of the Royal Variety Charity, which helps hard-up entertainers.
The Queen attended 39 Royal Variety Performances, the first in 1945 and the last in the Diamond Jubilee year of 2012.
The show, to be screened on ITV, is on December 1.
